FAQ
Questions before you check.
Does PASS mean my deck is definitely legal?
No. PASS means the checker found no known issue in its data. Event-specific rules, head-judge interpretations, and physical card conditions can still change the answer. Verify with the official event page and head judge.
Why do I get UNKNOWN?
The checker returns UNKNOWN when data is missing, stale, conflicting, or outside the MVP scope. Examples: an unknown card printing, an event-specific language exception, or a language composition it cannot map.
Can I use Japanese cards with English cards?
At an international event, a Japanese deck must be 100% Japanese. Japanese cards cannot be mixed with any other language. The checker flags that mix as an issue.
Which languages are supported?
English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Other languages are outside the MVP and may return UNKNOWN.
Which events are covered?
The next RK9 Regional, International, Special, and World Championship events. Local leagues, Cups, and Prereleases are not included.
Does the site store my deck list?
No. The checker runs in your browser. The deck list is not uploaded.
How fresh is the data?
Event pages show the last verified time. Event data older than 24 hours or rules data older than 7 days is downgraded to UNKNOWN.
Is this an official Pokémon site?
No. It is an independent, unofficial tool, not affiliated with Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Creatures, or GAME FREAK.

This is a pre-check, not a judge ruling. The event page and head judge are the final authority.
